A good way of finding out the wind conditions at your local beach is
to call one of the local Kite-surfers and ask them if they know what
it is like or if they know anyone else who might be out. Essexkitesurfing club
has a network of members with telephone numbers available so that members
can call to see if others are going to be Kiting and which beaches
they will be using. If you wish to sail off of the beaches at Southend on sea
in Essex you MUST have insurance cover (Available from BKSA ) or be a member of Essexkitesurfing (join the club through the BKSA and you get insurance included)
The club offers great assistance to all levels as well as organising events and
trips away and abroad.
